Description

The U.S. Department of State, in partnership with the Information Society Development Foundation (FRSI) and Digital Communications Network (DigiComNet), hosted a first-ever TechCamp Reconnect event at the Brain Embassy in Warsaw, Poland.

TechCamp Reconnect is an effort to engage alumni of previous TechCamps and to connect them with additional training, mentorship, and support to amplify the impact of the initial workshops.  This inaugural TechCamp Reconnect event in Warsaw convened select journalists, media professionals, and civil society activists who attended TechCamp Warsaw, TechCamp Georgia, and TechForum Brussels, as well as coordinators of American Spaces in Poland, to support the development and implementation of technology solutions aimed at combating disinformation, improving the quality of reporting, and increasing media literacy in Europe.  International experts in digital media, technology application, business strategy, impact measurement, marketing, and communications worked with participants to further build out specific project ideas and shape action plans to advance their work going forward in tangible ways.
