“Luciano Meira holds a Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of California at Berkeley (USA), a master’s in cognitive psychology and a major degree in pedagogy. He is currently professor of psychology at the Federal University of Pernambuco, where he teaches classes on cultural psychology and innovation; also a fellow professor for the Graduate Program in Design at CESAR (Recife’s Center for Advanced Studies and Systems), and researcher with CNPq (Brazilian National Council of Technological and Scientific Development) in the field of learning and digital culture (2017-2019). Luciano is cofounder and Chief of Science and Innovation of Joy Street, a company situated at Recife’s tech park Porto Digital and dedicated to learning games and gamification.”

Atua como professor adjunto de psicologia na Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, professor colaborador do Mestrado em Design do C.E.S.A.R (Centro de Estudos e Sistemas Avançados do Recife), bolsista de Pesquisa em Desenvolvimento Tecnológico e Extensão Inovadora do CNPq (2017-2019) e Coordenador de Ciência e Inovação da Joy Street, uma empresa de tecnologias educacionais lúdicas do Porto Digital da qual é sócio-fundador. Luciano também é Lemann Fellow, através da Stanford University na qualidade de Visiting Scholar no Lemann Center for Educational Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Brazil, e associado efetivo do movimento Todos pela Educação.”
